Things really ramp up around the orchard this time of year! Our crew has grown for harvesting and packing, and we’re bringing in 80-90 bins a day. To give you an idea: each pear bin holds about 1,000 pounds, and each apple bin about 900 pounds—it’s a lot of fruit! 🍐🍎
We’re all in go-mode, just hoping the forecast stays sunny and the air quality remains good. There’s a high risk of poor air quality from fires, both in Washington and Canada, when it’s this hot and dry. Luckily, our area hasn’t been heavily impacted lately, and we’re crossing our fingers it stays this way for us and everyone in our region!
The best news? Bartlett pears, Gala apples, D’Anjou pears, and Crab apples are officially available on our website now! 🥳🍐🍎 Next up will be Honeycrisp in mid-September, so keep an eye out for these crisp and juicy favorites coming soon.
